This role will be responsible for implementation of strategic initiatives in financial reporting of assigned Koch European business operations. In addition, you will lead a team of senior specialists and focus on their coaching and development as well as provide oversight and governance of financial statements preparation process and tax compliance reporting for multiple entities. The successful candidate will be self-driven, highly motivated, and focused on creating long term value.
- Maintain strong partnerships across the Koch capabilities (tax, legal, corporate accounting, treasury) and assigned businesses, including oversight of services provided internally by financial reporting hub in Guadalajara, Mexico to meet business reporting needs.
- Lead a team responsible for providing a variety of finance and compliance processes including:
- Statutory financial reporting
- Tax accounting and reporting (CIT, VAT, WHT)
- Audit management
- Coordinate internal and external financial audits and build long term relations with statutory auditors in different European countries.
- Initiate enhancements in financial reporting process to achieve transformation goals and create long term value for Koch and its stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc projects as identified by the company (e.g., business restructures, accounting systems implementations etc.)
- Advance Koch’s Principle Based Management culture through application of Our Principles and development of the team
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Proven experience in accounting or finance leadership role with ability to manage team priorities effectively and hold team members accountable
- Strong contribution motivated mindset
- Fluent in English
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex topics across various audiences and stakeholders
- Knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and standards
- Knowledge of tax (VAT, CIT, WHT) reporting requirements and regulations
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with a multinational corporation
- Experience in a shared service environment
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERPs
- Experience in a big four company (PwC, Deloitte, EY or KPMG)
- Additional language skills in German, French, Italian or Polish
