The candidate will interact with multiple parties on a frequent basis, including other Treasury functions/ pillars and Finance teams, Business teams, Finance Tech team, Project Management teams as well as various external partners.

As the Treasury SSC Global Leader, the responsibilities are as follows:

  • Lead the Global Treasury Shared Service Center (SSC) to ensure that the treasury operations for all countries/ entities/ business units supported by the SSC would be conducted in an efficient and smooth manner.
  • Continue to integrate & transform the SSC team to improve processes and way of working, and to adapt to the evolving requirements of the business.
  • Lead and manage a team of members based on China and in different countries in ASEAN.
  • Possess a service mindset, and engage frequently with key stakeholders to ensure that the requirements are achieved on a timely basis

The core Treasury SSC activities include payment processing, bank account management, payment system-related projects covering more than 30 countries globally. The responsibilities of Treasury SSC include:

  • Manage all aspects of payments operations covering AIDC Treasury requirements and Lazada’s Business requirements.
  • Finetune and maintain SOP to ensure processes are executed properly and in line with control requirements
  • Partner with banks and internal teams to resolve any operational issues on a timely basis; Be the Subject Matter Expert within the organization to provide advice to internal stakeholders on payments
  • Drive implementation of banking solutions or payment system projects to improve the Treasury operations; Lead, manage or participate in other treasury projects/initiatives as needed.
  • Streamline bank account structures across all group entities; review bank fees to achieve cost efficiencies
  • Keep up-to-date regulatory changes or payment landscape in the region/local countries that could improve treasury operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; Master’s degree or CPA/CA is a plus
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in Finance and Treasury-related fields including 5 years of experience in a Shared Service Center
  • At least 5 years of experience in managing, building and leading teams especially in a virtual setting
  • Solid understanding of cash management practices and payment landscapes (particularly for Asia Pacific and Europe regions), back office activities, Treasury systems, policies and procedures for a global organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese are required; Strong communication skills and experience interacting with all levels of Management
  • Results and detail-oriented, team player, strong project management and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with structured thinking capabilities
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced, highly analytical environment where multi-tasking and short timelines are met with consistent ability to achieve financial accuracy
  • Have strong ethics and integrity; can embrace corporate culture and change; committed; have strong team work spirit
