The VP, Finance will report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will oversee a team that initially includes the AR, AP, accounting/bookkeeping, controllership, billing, and other critical corporate finance activities and is a key leader in the implementation of its new ERP. This role requires a process-focused leader who is adept at managing cross-functional teams, navigating complex financial systems, and ensuring smooth integration of financial processes post-acquisition.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Finance Shared Services team, including direct oversight of AR, AP, accounting/bookkeeping, FP&A, controllership, and billing.
  • Foster a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

Process Optimization & Automation

  • Oversee the design and execution of standardized financial processes across all shared services functions (GL, AP, AR, billing, financial reporting, and consolidations).
  • Champion the automation and integration of financial systems to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and reduce manual effort.
  • Identify and drive process improvements with a focus on speed, quality, and scalability of financial reporting and operational workflows.

Reporting & Consolidation

  • Lead the development and implementation of consolidated financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful reporting for executive leadership.
  • Standardize and optimize financial consolidations across business units and geographies.

Financial Systems Integration & Acquisitions

  • Oversee financial systems integration for acquired companies, ensuring smooth transitions and the alignment of financial processes with the broader organizational structure.
  • Manage the integration of new financial systems, processes, and teams post-acquisition, with a focus on minimizing disruptions and maintaining accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with IT, external vendors, and business leaders to ensure that acquisition-related financial systems are properly integrated and optimized.

Treasury & Corporate Finance Administration

  • Oversee treasury functions, including cash management & cashflow forecasting.
  • Develop and manage corporate insurance programs, ensuring comprehensive coverage while balancing cost-effectiveness and risk management.

Corporate Governance & Compliance

  • Oversee and manage corporate governance activities, including maintaining legal entity documentation, ensuring compliance with statutory accounting standards, and managing tax filings for the organization and its subsidiaries.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, including local and global tax, legal, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Lead the implementation of controls and policies to ensure compliance with corporate governance standards, corporate tax regulations, and statutory obligations across jurisdictions.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a business partner to driving operational excellence across all financial functions.
  • Ensure alignment with the broader business strategy by providing proactive financial insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth interactions and resolving any process-related issues.
  • Expertly and deftly integrate acquired companies into the IXM financial systems.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies in all accounting and reporting processes.
  • Drive internal controls to mitigate financial risks, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and regulatory adherence across all financial operations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the finance shared services team and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead initiatives to continuously improve financial systems, processes, and controls in line with industry best practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages 3 – 5 subordinate supervisors who supervises a total of 15 – 20 employees in the Finance Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education And/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S.) or equivalent in finance or accounting or related field; or 15+ years related experience and/or training including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing shared services or similar finance operations.; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA or CPA preferred.

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 (F&O) Accounting software; Microsoft Office suite of software. High proficiency with financial software systems, ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle), and reporting tools.

Other Skills And Abilities

  • Proven track record in leading finance transformation initiatives, including systems integrations, automation, and process optimization.
  • Experience with financial systems integration and post-acquisition integration is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Deep expertise in financial accounting, reporting, consolidations, financial systems, and treasury operations.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a focus on execution and delivering results on time.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, internal controls, and best practices in financial operations.
  • Ability to drive change management processes and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for diverse audiences.
