The Vice President, Global Shared Services is responsible for leadership and oversight of the Global Shared Services organization for Ingredion. The Vice President, GSS will be responsible for assessing Ingredion’s process footprint and crafting strategy to systematically adopt additional activity into the GSS structure where the service delivery and the cost of providing services would be beneficial. This role includes leadership of teams responsible for delivering value by providing effective transaction, operational processing and specialized services, as well as providing effective systems of internal controls, within the scope of Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report and Hire-to-Retire value streams. In addition, the VP GSS will drive transformation and change with a strong focus on standardization of processes globally, continuous improvement, managing risk and maintaining controls.
- Serve as focal point to drive a Global Business Services strategy and organization for processes in scope across all shared service centers, including optimizing resources and capabilities between centers to drive service delivery and optimize cost of delivery
- Work closely with the CFO, Controller and Transformation Office to understand strategic vision and assess how GSS might support the business’ strategy to further consolidate into centers of excellence
- Lead provision of services critical to support function operations in geographically based Operating Regions and regularly review performance with Region Leadership partners
- Establish and manage productivity and performance through SLAs and KPIs for all Business Services Centers; evaluate metrics for senior management and implement strategies for their improvement. Benchmark against best-in-class to drive competitive performance
- Design, implement and maintain effective systems of internal controls that mitigate financial reporting, ESG reporting and custodial safekeeping of company assets, Ensure processes and practices comply with all SOX and internal accounting policies and procedures, including segregation of duties to protect assets, required to produce timely, complete and accurate financial results impacted by work teams
- Bring future vision and strategic leadership thinking to imagine what might be possible within Ingredion’s structure and enterprise model
- Partner with Global Process Owners to identify and transform processes that have the greatest impact, and deliver value or reallocate resources and re-design to optimally mitigate risk and deliver on business goals
- Position GSS to sustain performance through changing circumstances such as process changes, system upgrades, or the integration of acquisitions. Understand and apply change management best practices to successfully embed changes
- Drive an empowered and engaged high performance culture focused on continuous improvement and service delivery
- Executive level, cross-functional experience across multiple functions required with 15+ years experience leading a business service organization and implementing systems of internal controls is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree, such as Masters of Accountancy or Masters in Industrial Operations, preferred
- Strong commercial acumen and customer service focus with ability to understand how the business operates and the upstream and downstream activities that impact and are impacted by Shared Services
- Experience in developing and leading multiple site teams as well as transitioning work to and between global centers
- Experience in creating and interpreting metrics representing department performance, benchmarking goals, and comparative outcomes
- Ability to transform strategic goals into tactical project plans, including ability to track within defined timelines
- Strong change management skills with a proven track record supporting a global organization
- Understanding of technology and data governance, and knowledge of current and emerging disruptive elements, including RPAs, AI, and predictive data analytics
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel 40% + (global travel)
