The Vice President [VP] of Global People Shared Services will lead and oversee the development, implementation, and management of a world-class, efficient, and scalable regional shared services model for the People function, and the Country Spoke Model for EMEA & APAC.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that Merlin Entertainments’ People operations are delivered with consistency, quality, and efficiency across all markets. The VP will partner with senior leaders and stakeholders across the globe to optimise processes, drive operational excellence, and support Merlin’s strategic objectives. This role requires a visionary leader with deep expertise in HR operations, shared services, and global talent management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within HR, with a focus on global shared services or HR operations.
- Deep expertise in developing and managing HR shared services in a complex, multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of HR technology, including HRIS, payroll systems, and data analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams across multiple geographies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Strategic mindset with a track record of driving transformation and operational excellence.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on delivering results.
- Knowledge of global employment laws and regulations.
