The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading the finance shared service team. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting, the key responsibilities of this role will revolve around managing and overseeing the functions and processes within the shared services department.

  • Leadership: You will provide strategic direction and leadership to the finance shared services operation, aligning it with the overall goals and objectives of the organization. This involves developing and implementing strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Planning: You will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of the cost of the shared services operation. This includes tracking productivity, cost to deliver, compliance with KPIs.
  • Process Optimization: You will continuously review and improve processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the quality and timeliness of services. This may involve implementing automation, streamlining processes, and standardizing procedures.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring compliance with service level agreements, internal policies, standard operating procedures and internal control will be a critical aspect of your role. You will establish and maintain robust internal controls, monitor compliance, and mitigate risks within the shared services operation.
  • Stakeholder Management: You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and other business units, to understand their requirements and address your needs/ concerns. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential.
  • Talent Development and Team Management: You will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing finance shared services team. This involves recruiting, training, and developing talent, assigning responsibilities, setting performance goals, and providing guidance and feedback to ensure the team’s success.
  • Technology and Systems: You will evaluate, implement, and manage financial systems and technologies that support the shared services operation. This includes leveraging technology solutions for process automation, data analytics, and reporting to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of continuous improvement is crucial. You will encourage innovation, identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, and drive initiatives to enhance the overall performance of the finance shared services operation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance
  • At least 10 years of experience in a finance shared service environment
  • Experienced people manager with good track record of leading a high performance team
  • Knowledge of SAP is highly preferred
  • Strong collaboration and progressive mindset
  • Proven problem solving competency
  • Excellent interpersonal skill
