Leads the HR Operations COE to deliver on the Employee Experience across all aspects of HR from Onboarding to Departure. This role holds overarching responsibility for translating the Global HR Strategy and Service Line People Plans into a globally effective, coherent and compliant HR strategy.
This involves the leadership of all regional HR Operations team (Americas, LATAM, APAC & EMEA) with direct responsibility for the leadership, management, co-ordination and evaluation of the HRSS & HRM Regional Leaders.
Key Responsibilities include the design and implementation of global HR people strategies, which involve: management of organisational changes, management of employee and labour relations, ensuring a customer experience grade HRSS service delivery model, driving continuous process improvement, effective risk management and sustained legal compliance to deliver the required business outcomes in support of ICON’s strategic priorities. This role is office based and open to applications from our key office hubs globally.

- Contribute to the strategic direction of HR through active participation in the HR Senior Leadership Team.
- Design and implementation of global HR Operations vision & strategy
- Ensures effective management of organisational changes, management of employee and labour relations, ensuring a customer experience grade HRSS service delivery model, driving continuous process improvement, effective risk management and sustained legal compliance to deliver the required business outcomes in support of ICON’s strategic priorities.
- Delivering on all operational aspects of the HR People Plan to enable the delivery of business goals via a global shared service model and HR Management team.
- Responsible for management of all employee life cycle changes from contract generation, onboarding, career planning and management, employee relations, employee and people leader queries and management of the compensation infrastructure. Responsible for the delivery of services in line with/exceeding SLAs.
- Responsible for design and management of ICON’s labour relations strategy-proactive management of the Works councils and Union agreements across all jurisdictions
- Responsible for regulatory compliance from debarment to immigration ensuring a global cultural alignment and local in-country compliance.
- Develop constructive relationships with key executives and senior leaders across business
- Responsible for effective management of global team budget.
- Develop HR talent, through career development programmes and through the management of hi-potential team members
- Works closely with HRSLT and organisational leaders to deliver key organisational projects such as acquisitions, integrations, organisational changes etc.,
- Ensure that technology solutions and processes are in place to globally deliver a superior customer service.
- Ensure active collaboration between HR Operations, HR COEs
- Represent the company at key external stake-holder / community events and forums.
- Travel (approximately 10 %) domestic and international.
Supervision
- Job holder will lead and manage a global team of circa 200 HR professionals
- Directly leads Regional HRM & HRSS Senior Directors
- Carrying out all relevant line management responsibilities including performance reviews, goal setting, development plans and annual compensation processes within budget and agreed parameters
- Leading and managing across the matrix organization by empowering and coaching them to deliver their key objectives.
- Drive a clear talent management strategy to achieve successor ready leadership within the group.
- Experience of operating in a global organization at a senior HR leadership level
- Experience working across multiple geographies, acknowledging the complexities of different markets
- Experience leading complex change and engagement programmes
- Experience building and delivering a HR strategy leveraging multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to formulate a functional strategy, influence for buy in and execute for success
