Under the broad supervision of the Senior Vice President, Communications & Brand, lead and develop strategic marketing and brand plans and programs to increase awareness of and interest in Allegheny County Airport Authority, Pittsburgh International Airport and Allegheny County Airport offerings. Lead a shared services function to provide support to the Communication and Brand team as well as business partners across the organization.
- Lead and develop marketing and brand-building campaigns that effectively communicate the innovation and market leadership of Pittsburgh International and Allegheny County Airports.
- Lead a shared services function that includes event management and creative studio/service to provide support to the communication and brand team, business partners, and stakeholders.
- Build & execute a partnership strategy that identifies business and community partners who align with the Airport Authority’s brand reputation and business objectives; and identify common messaging that connects to brand awareness objectives.
- Develop marketing plan for new direct service routes, new carriers, increase flights for existing routes for the purpose of passenger acquisition and retention driven by key consumer insights.
- Design marketing campaigns that launch new airport concessions and promote existing airport concessions to drive passenger awareness of offerings.
- Supervise the execution of marketing campaigns and capture and measure the campaigns’ effectiveness, including a continuous feedback mechanism.
- Identify target audiences and best delivery channel method(s).
- Adherence and consistent application of brand guidelines across all marketing material.
- Collect market research data to use and leverage in all decision-making related to the development of marketing campaigns.
- Provide oversight of the development and regular updates to the airport authority’s website(s) and campaign web landing pages.
- Define and executive a process for creating, capturing, and reporting out of key performance metrics to measure customer satisfaction and brand awareness.
- Develop marketing and brand solutions that align with the Airport Authority’s priorities and are based on the output and metrics of the passenger experience.
- Measure the effectiveness of media and programs to ensure a substantial ROI.
- Collaborate with marketing staff and outsourced agencies to ensure consistent application of brand and messages.
- Provide employee support and development through performance management, coaching, training, motivation, and discipline.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned or required.

Requirements to apply for the role of Vice President, Marketing and Brand are:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing management or business administration or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university
- Ten (10) years of related experience in marketing with at least five (5) years in a management position.
- Demonstrated experience in developing marketing strategies, writing marketing plans for consumer and business-to-business, and marketing for a large company with multiple product lines and a consumer orientation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and software.
- Possess or obtain prior to employment a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license. Note: license must be maintained throughout employment.
We also expect that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:
- Extensive knowledge of the policies, practices, and techniques of marketing, specifically customer loyalty management, customer relationship management, and customer value management.
- Advanced knowledge in all marketing disciplines, including but not limited to advertising, research, direct marketing, collateral development, lead generation, public affairs, event planning, and digital marketing.
- Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices of market research and analysis.
- Ability to travel up to 5%.
