The VP Shared Services will be responsible to bring together the key core internal service functions to ensure the delivery of excellent services and improve the business processes of the entity.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience with leading the following functions:
Information Technology: Manage different aspects of IT such as technological systems, maintenance of its digital and technological, infrastructure, and ensuring that all systems function together effectively to support the organization and its’ Smart City goals and strategy.
Procurement: Develop procurement processes to ensure all organizational procurement complies with policy whilst identifying opportunities for cost efficiency, managing the tender process, and price negotiation. Ideally, there should be a focus on building a strategic procurement function led by the Head of Procurement reporting into this role.
Legal Affairs: Ensure the company properly discharges its business affairs, and all activities are in conformity with all laws and regulations, providing expert legal advice for leaders, departments, and policy making.
Marketing: Manage the promotion, communication, and positioning of the company and city wide brand, products, and services. Utilize insights and research to attract more visitors and residents through the creation of large scale effective marketing campaigns and events.
- Providing direction and leadership to all staff in the supporting functions.
- Analyzing the internal operating functions to enhance the performance and focus on the potential improvement opportunities to ensure sustainability and growth to all the services offered.
- Designing and implement functional strategies, plans, policies, and procedures that promote the organizations culture and vision, ensuring it is being cascaded down to the functions and its departments for vertical alignments and horizontal integration.
- Assisting the CEO with management duties in regard to the corporate support functions.
- Preparing the functional budget and monitors the financial performance to anticipate the costs.
- Building and improve the relations between stakeholders at different levels, to facilitate collaboration across and beyond the organization.
- Supervising the marketing function to utilize the insights and improve brand awareness.
- Supervising the procurement function to meet business needs in a timely manner, and guarantee the highest levels of efficiency.
- Supervising technology strategic direction of the organization and all the needed technological investments.
- Supervising the legal function to defend and protect the interests of the organization.
- Preparing reports on the overall performance of the shared services function.
- Minimum 20 years of experience; at least 10 years in an executive management position
- Proven exposure in leading support functions: Marketing, Legal, Procurement and IT
- Experience with large mixed-use real estate developers
- In-depth understanding and exposure to the real estate development value chain
- Experience in the Middle East/ Saudi Arabia
- Masters degree from a reputable university in relevant majors.
- Outstanding leadership skills and ownership
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
