- The candidate will be working within the AEJ Shared Services team to provide oversight and governance to the Shared Service functions supporting AEJ Businesses and Entities.
- The candidate will be working closely with regional stakeholders and Shared Services teams to ensure appropriate processes and controls are in place to support business activities.
- Shared Services functions covered by the Oversight team include Cash and OTC settlements, confirmations and network management.
- Ensure all processes and procedures are in compliance with internal/external policies and regulations
- Drive review of KRI to ensure all relevant risks (completeness) are captured and resolved in a timely manner
- Ensure issues are escalated appropriately, propose and deliver solutions to resolve with stakeholders.
- Engage business and regional stakeholders to discuss projects, issues and outstanding risk items
- Drive trend and root cause analysis of KRI and KPI, and drive enhancements to improve the controls/ efficiency of the functions.
- Ensure outstanding issue and audit actions are closed out resolved by agreed timeline.
- Lead review of new business and projects with the team to map out the required controls and processes and provide sign-off to support the new business/ projects.
- Manage and coach the team to deliver business priorities
- Must have operational experience in supporting investment banking business such as Prime, Credit, Emerging Markets and Equity, with knowledge of the securities and OTC trade flow and operational risk and control requirements
- Must have people management experience in managing offshore teams and/or third party vendors
- Minimum 10 years of experience in managing the settlement and payment processes in global markets/depositories such as Euroclear, DTC, Fedwire, and Asia markets such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, China
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education is required
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good analytical skills and ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Track record in managing and delivering changes to support new market and business initiatives
- Experience in supporting investment banking business with knowledge of the derivatives trade flow will be an advantage
- Familiarity with emerging/ disruptive technology such as robotics and/or macro/programming skills will be an advantage
