We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Technical Product Specialist and App Delivery I to join our Shared Services Engineering team. This role is located in Pune/Chennai – HYBRID.
We’re looking for Senior Specialist in Technical Product Specialist and Application Delivery family to bring innovative thinking to the BNY Mellon Shared Services Engineering team. The BNY Mellon Developer Practices Group is an engineering group focused on building solutions and platforms to support developer relations and tooling, as well as their interactions across the BNY Mellon application development ecosystem. This candidate should bring a passion and dedication for building platforms and solving problems that directly impact thousands of developers globally. The candidate must be passionate about building scalable, reliable, and easy to use systems that integrate seamlessly and provide efficiency and productivity gains for our development community. Must have a proficiency with Linux, understating the essential commands, system operations, monitoring and storage management. Strong scripting experience would be tremendously helpful. Agile team experience is a must, bringing ownership and accountability as a part of their core offerings to the team, in addition to their technical competency. The key skillset that we are looking are Jira administration along with the abilities of creating/modifying plug-ins for Atlassian Jira.
- Experience Required: 10-15 Years
- Good understanding of JIRA APIs, webhooks and hands-on experience on working on them.
- having hands-on and expertise to code using the Jira plug-ins (such as Script Runner, JSU Automation Suite for Jira) to address the technical needs.
- having design skills to define and re-define JIRA workflows and the related screen schemes for complex and high impact projects in a shorter duration.
- having the hands-on experience with ‘Elements Connect’, ‘Advanced Roadmap’ plug-ins.
- good to have a Java and groovy development background for the plug-in development.
- good in handling infrastructure for installing, configuring and/or upgrading Jira Data Center and other Jira products (such as Jira Service Desk/Jira Service Management and etc.) in a high availability setup and troubleshoot to fix issues.
- good in Linux platform and shell scripting to handle/manage the infrastructure needs.
- good on handling the projects migration using project configurator/configuration manager.
- good in monitoring the Jira platform using the monitoring tools (such as AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk and etc.)
- good in managing Jira project related configurations (such as schemas, field configurations and etc.), workflows and support on the same.
- having the knowledge on integrating Jira with various other tools.
- good to have knowledge on DevOps CI/CD tools (such as GitLab, Artifactory, SonarQube and etc.).
