Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor, has a role available! We are looking for a VP, Shared Services to join our team.
The VP of Shared Services will be a member of a dynamic accounting team comprised creative problem solvers! The team handles day-to-day operational accounting activities for the organization and maintains the appropriate internal controls. Your leadership skills, understanding of accounting principles, and ability to close gaps in business processes will be your keys to success.

- Develop and implement continuous process improvements, including process automation and elimination within Vendor AP, Billing, AR, and other transactional areas to deliver world-class SOPs to service internal stakeholders, customers, and vendor partners.
- Manage a multi-location team of 100+ employees.
- Define, measure, and report on KPIs to deliver operational excellence and maximize performance. Update business leaders on key metrics and action plans that impact financials and the day-to-day accounting operation.
- Lead integration acquisition companies’ transactional services onto our systems and processes
- Obtain a solid understanding of the key management processes such as Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, and Record to Report to ensure timely and accurate support for the greater accounting team.
- Partner with cross-departmental leads to align on relationship management SLAs and define escalation processes.
- Drives cross-functional accounting projects seeking standardization and centralization of accounting activities seeking process efficiency, mitigation of risks, and cost control.
- Motivate, lead, hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Business Operations Professionals
- Enforcing compliance with Imperial Dade’s Accounting and Reporting Guidelines, local GAAP, and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting and Accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- MBA or CPA is highly desired.
- Process or system enhancement certifications (such as Six Sigma) are highly desirable.
- Ability to motivate and drive change.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing, highly diverse, teams in a shared services environment.
- 10+ years of experience transforming areas of Business Operations for wholesale distribution or similar industries such as manufacturing, retail industries, food & beverage, HVAC, medical supplies, pharmaceutical, beauty supplies, paper & packaging.
- 10+ years of strong system experience with the ability to conduct analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
- Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including effectively communicating with both business and technical teams.
- Can apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to maintain our relationship management SLAs.
